The most recent casting switcheroo in the world from the Twilight movie saga has all atwitter as the franchise gets set to welcome Bryce Dallas Howard and usher out Rachelle Lefevre.
Howard continues to be tapped to experience Victoria in Eclipse, the 3rd film within the series, towards the surprise of Lefevre who originated the role in the first film and appears in the follow-up New Moon, Entertainment Weekly is reporting. Julianne Moore in,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Jodie Foster out in the 'Hannibal Lector' film series: Superhero franchises and Mission impossible movies often make actor-swapping look acceptable or easy, but it not. While Moore is an amazing actress in her own right,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it had been nearly impossible to envision other people besides Foster filling Clarice Starling shoes. To be fair though, the follow-up to the Academy-Award darling Silence of the Lambs faltered overall,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but Foster will be Clarice.
Maggie Gyllenhaal replaces Katie Holmes in 'Batman' reboot: Holmes cited scheduling conflicts, but critics and fans had long called the former Dawson Creek star the weak link in the otherwise stellar revamp. The change-up to Gyllenhaal settled lots of vocal groans, although it may not have mattered in the end because the second installment really turned into the Heath Ledger project everyone marveled over.
Dick York exchanged for Dick Sargent on Bewitched: They shared the same first name and many of the identical physical attributes that made the transition between your Darrins an easy one to swallow. Obviously, this forever remains as debatable as Chalke isn quite Lecy Goranson in Roseanne: Goranson had been MIA from the show for some months before Chalke turned up to portray "Becky Connor," certainly confusing this fan who had been unacquainted with an impending switch. While Chalke didn last long (Goranson returned for portions from the last few seasons),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she ultimately built a reputation for herself as "Dr. Elliot Reid" on Scrubs. It not really a rare move in Hollywood, but swaps can often be a large gamble, particularly when you talking about a multi-million dollar saga with a rabid fan base that isn noted for taking kindly to alter.
Not that Lefevre is necessarily on par with the likes of Taylor lautner, Billy burke or Rachelle lefervre, but then again, even Lautner was about the chopping block before he proved he could literally fill out his character shoes. And Twilight without Lautner? Well,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], any Twi-hard worth their title would scream sacrilege at this point, so note to Summit--swap with care.
