The audience couldn't help but stop and listen, and it was over in less than three minutes.
Woods is a founder of BlackSunshine Arts 'N' Entertainment (BSANE), which is inviting the public and other performers to hear spoken-word and musical performances at a fundraiser for the team's trip to this year's National Poetry Slam in Austin, Texas.
"We're consistently attacking at a national level," said Woods, explaining that Knoxville's team has competed nationally a handful of times. "Every year Knoxville's gone,[url=http://duveticajacketsonlinejp.halod.com/][b]デュベティカダウンジャケット[/b][/url], we've always been a force."

The four poets competing in Austin practiced Tuesday evening at World Grotto on Market Square,[url=http://duveticajacketsjp.gengfl.com/][b]ダウンジャケットduvetica[/b][/url], including Rhea "RheaSunshine" Scruggs, 29, co-founder of BlackSunshine and a University of Tennessee educational specialist for the pre-college Upward Bound program; Jonathan "Courageous" Clark, 21, a UT student; Renee "Copper Head Red" Hickman, 30, who's studying massage therapy; and Woods, who works in his family's printing business at Knoxville Center.
A poetry slam is a competition that gives contestants three minutes, with no props, to deliver spoken-word poems on topics ranging from race and gender to social causes and personal pain.
"It's about helping people identify with their problems, show that they too can express themselves," Woods said.
Clark began performing at 13. Many of his first venues were bars,[url=http://duveticashop.webmium.com/][b]デュベティカダウンジャケット[/b][/url].
"They couldn't make an 'X' big enough," Clark said, referring to the mark inked onto the hands of underage patrons. "Poetry was always an escape for my negativity, because it was on paper, not in my head; it's also a chance to look back and see how good things are."
He met Scruggs at a youth theater troupe at Knoxville College.
A mutual friend introduced Hickman to Scruggs.
"I've been performing since (age) 3, but doing slam poetry for less than two years," said Hickman, who speaks as an activist from a personal perspective. "I talk about the environment,[url=http://duveticajacketssalejp.albirank.net/][b]デュベティカダウンジャケット[/b][/url], education and empowering women.
