Shaw's to close six stores in Rhode Island and Massachusetts
WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass., July 9 () -- Supermarket chain Shaw's said it would close four Massachusetts and two Rhode Island stores in early August.The Boston Globe reported Tuesday the stores to be closed were in Fall River, Fairhaven, Stoughton and Taunton in Massachusetts and in Westerly and Woonsocket in Rhode Island.The company owned by Cerberus Capital management LP operates 155 Shaw's supermarkets and 14 stores under the Star Market brand.
