Computer wont load,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
I have windows xp and my son turned it off incorrectly without letting it go through its correct shutdown he turned the power off before it had finished shutdown
Now it will not boot up correctly and a black screen pops up with 1,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. normal startup 2,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. last known good config 3,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. safe mode,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. etc,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
whenever i choose any of the choices,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it continues to loadup,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], until it restarts completely and brings me back to the 1. normal startup 2. last known good config 3. safe mode. screen
I have tried the Repair on cd but drive does not show I have two drives C,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],D D shoes itself but no C. Within disc management both drives show but C has no format?
is there any way i can bypass this without formatting,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]? i have 2 harddrives and i dont want to format because i have a lot of things i dont want to lose,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Thanks Tony
Turning off XP with the power button instead of the shutdown command really doesn't matter,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and will not cause you grief. So I doubt that precipitated this problem. It sounds to me like your hard drive may have a physical problem. I would try to run a diagnostic on it using the manufacturer's diagnostic program available from the hard drive maker's website. You can usually make a bootable floppy or CDROM to run the program,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which does not run from within Windows,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], so it doesn't matter that you cannot get to Windows.
